1. Humdakin was established in 2016 by Camilla after 5 years of developing and testing the products. On the side, Camilla had a full-time job with her own cleaning company, cleaning private homes and businesses around Aarhus and the surrounding area.
2. Have you noticed the numbers on the products? You'll find these coordinates on all our products. These are the coordinates to the place where it all started in Trige, close to Aarhus, Denmark.
3. At Humdakin, we are constantly developing and testing new products. Camilla is still involved in the process from start to finish when we launch a new product and is one of the people who still gets all the ideas.
4. We started with 10 products. Now we have 600 styles.
5. Have you wondered about the name? "Humdakin" is a mix of family names: Camilla's daughter, husband and dog, King.
6. Speaking of King, the French bulldog was Camilla's right-hand man for 10 years. Even though he's no longer with us, we can almost still hear him yelling at the postman. It's also King you see on our dog shampoo.
7. Our office is located in a magical forest north of Aarhus, and almost every day we can enjoy the sight of deer and squirrels running around or playing in the trees.
8. For 3 years, we have been fundraising partners with Børns Vilkår, a Danish NGO, which works to ensure that no child is neglected. A collaboration that means a lot to us. Did you know that every time you order a product from our Kids Collection, we donate DKK 5 to Børns Vilkår?
9. It all started with cleaning for your home. Now we offer everything you need to organise, clean and style your kitchen and bathroom: fine terrazzo products, nourishing hand care and gentle yet effective cleaning products.
10. Did you know we have sales teams in the USA, Canada, Japan, Norway, Iceland and China? In addition, we have a large network of friendly retailers all over the world. You'll find Humdakin in 900 stores and online shops in 55 markets.
