In 2011, Camilla started the journey towards what later became Humdakin, based on a love of cleaning and a lack of sustainable cleaning products. Sustainable cleaning can be many things. It can be how we use our resources. It can be the content of the products you use, but it can also be that it has to be sustainable for you and your everyday life, for example in terms of the time you spend cleaning your home.
3 TIPS FOR A GREEN CLEANING
Universal cleaning is undoubtedly our darling, even though a lot of new products have been added. Humdakin's all-purpose cleaner is a concentrate. This means you won't find it filled with water. You have to mix the product with water yourself. The product should be mixed 1:100, which means that you can fill our 500 ml spray bottle 200 times with 1L of universal cleaner.
Here are our top tips for effective and sustainable cleaning with the universal cleaner.
- Spray and wipe off! Many people might resort to a bucket of water and a cloth, but you can save a lot of water in your cleaning by using a spray bottle instead. That way, you don't have to wring your cloth often. You can also rinse the cloth as needed. Remember to change the dishcloth for each room. For more demanding surfaces, a bucket of water might be good for scrubbing! Dissolve 1 cap/ approx. 20 ml of all-purpose cleaner in 5 litres of water.
- Keep clean and save time. Use your spray bottle with the mixture every day. It sounds like a lot, but it can mean cleaning becomes a lot more manageable. Spend 5 minutes every day in the company of your universal cleaner and you'll find your home clean and smelling great every day.
- Choose products that make you happy. If you're excited about the products you use cleaning, your desire to clean will undoubtedly follow. At Humdakin, using cleaning products that are gentle on your skin and the environment, and that smell great, makes us feel great and motivated.
