Humdakin Climate Action Plan 2026–2029

Our Approach

Humdakin is a Danish company with an ambition to develop products and operate our business with consideration for people and the resources we use.

As a smaller company, we recognize that our opportunities and resources differ from those of larger organizations. At the same time, we believe that our choices matter, and we are committed to developing Humdakin in a way that continuously improves our understanding, documentation, and management of our impact.

For us, it is not about being perfect, but about working concretely and systematically with the areas where we can make a difference.

We are already making conscious choices regarding our products, ingredients, packaging, transportation, and suppliers. Through this Climate Action Plan, we bring these efforts together within a shared framework and establish specific goals for the period 2026–2029.

While we already have data in several areas, we do not yet have a complete data foundation covering our entire value chain. Therefore, this plan will evolve step by step throughout the period.

2026 – Foundation and Documentation

In 2026, we will collect and organize the data we already have and identify the areas where documentation is lacking.

We will focus particularly on:

  • Products and ingredients
  • Packaging
  • Production
  • Transportation
  • Supplier data

Goal for 2026

By 31 December 2026, Humdakin will have collected existing relevant data within a common structure and identified the most significant data gaps.

2027 – Establishing Processes

In 2027, we will make our efforts more systematic.

Products and Ingredients

From 1 January 2027, all new Humdakin products will undergo a documented assessment of relevant product, ingredient, and material choices.

Depending on the product, this may include evaluating:

  • Ingredients and materials
  • Concentration and dosage
  • Relevant certifications
  • Durability and product lifespan
  • Opportunities to reduce material and product waste

Packaging

From 1 January 2027, all new or substantially modified packaging solutions will undergo a documented assessment.

This assessment may include:

  • Material selection
  • Weight and volume
  • Opportunities to reduce unnecessary packaging
  • Opportunities to use recycled materials
  • Opportunities for refill solutions or larger formats

Product functionality, quality, and safety will always be incorporated into the assessment.

Transportation

By 31 December 2027, we will have mapped the most significant transportation flows between suppliers, production sites, warehouses, and our key markets wherever data is available.

Suppliers

By 31 December 2027, we will have established which climate- and environment-related data we request from our key suppliers.

This may include:

  • Material data
  • Packaging data
  • Relevant certifications
  • Production data
  • Transportation data

2028 – From Data to New Targets

In 2028, we will use our improved data foundation to assess where we can best prioritize future efforts.

Goal for 2028

By 31 December 2028, Humdakin will evaluate progress across the five focus areas.

In areas where sufficient data is available, we will establish new concrete and measurable improvement targets.

2029 – Evaluation and Next Plan

In 2029, we will evaluate the overall plan period.

Goal for 2029

By 31 December 2029, Humdakin will review:

  • Progress against established targets
  • Available documentation
  • Developments in our data foundation
  • Actions implemented
  • Areas requiring further effort

The results will serve as the foundation for Humdakin’s next Climate Action Plan.

Governance and Follow-Up

Humdakin’s Board of Directors approves the Climate Action Plan.

Management is responsible for implementation and for ensuring that relevant employees and functions are involved in the process.

The work forms part of Humdakin’s ongoing operations, product development, sourcing activities, and documentation efforts.

We will review progress on the plan at least twice annually.

During each review, we will assess:

  • What has been completed
  • What can be documented
  • Where data is still lacking
  • Progress on individual targets
  • Which actions should be prioritized going forward

The plan will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be updated earlier if significant changes in the business, available data, or applicable requirements make this necessary.
